About Us

Hello, my name is Debbie Collins, the owner, and one of the “Grandmas” of 2 Grandmas & A Bunch of Kids. Instead of retiring, I chose to continue doing what I love most: caring for children. I am a mother of two, a grandmother of three, and I have proudly operated this center for 19 years.

With 30 years of management experience and a passion for mentoring staff, I am committed to creating a nurturing, safe, and educational environment for every child who walks through our doors.

• Credentialing in Administration – U.W.M.

One of the greatest joys of my work is the long-lasting relationships I build with families. Many stay connected well after their children leave the center. One former student, who attended from infancy through school age, recently visited to invite me to his high school graduation, a moment that truly touched my heart.

Background Check & Fingerprinting

The Department of Children and Families requires all staff to complete a background check and fingerprinting before being hired.

• Background checks are repeated every year
• Fingerprinting is repeated every 5 years

Staff Training

All staff receive training in:

• Mandated Reporting
• CPR (Adult & Infant) – renewed every 2 years
• Shaken Baby Syndrome
• Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)
• Child Abuse & Neglect
• 20 hours of continuing education annually (full‑time staff)
