Early arrivals
Please do not bring food into the center. It is not fair to eat in front of other children. They should finish food before they arrive at the center.
Reminders
Bringing toys from home is not allowed unless otherwise instructed by the teacher.( no guns allowed)
If toys are brought from home the teachers will have the child put it in their cubbies to take home at the end of the day.
Lost and Found
If there's no way to identify who the articles belong to they will be put in the lost and found box. The Lost and found box will be on top of the cubbies in the eating area.
Extra Clothing
Each child should have extra clothing in case of spills or accidents.
Clothing borrowed from 2 Grandmas must be washed and returned.
Food & Transportation
Please call the center if your child will be absent or late for breakfast/ lunch so our cook will not prepare food for your child.
Breakfast 8:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m.
Please call the center at
(608-764-8272) if your child will not ride the bus to school or back to the center.
Avoiding Accidents
For safety reasons please do not allow your children to run down the hallway to the front door. If they open the door they could run into the parking lot and get hurt.
Also someone could be coming out of a room just as the child is running down the hallway and cause a collision where the child could get injured.
Please walk out with your child and not let them get to the door first and hold the door open until you get there anyone could walk in that does not belong in the center.
Safety First
We have children keying the code into the front door. Please shield the number like you do when you're at an ATM.
In the past a parent held the door for the person behind them and they were not a person who should be in the center.
We get familiar with the faces we pass each day and if someone comes in behind you who appears not to belong in the center or if you have not seen them at least one time just casually stop at the office and let the administrators know. We would rather be safe than sorry!
If someone is picking up for you please do not give out the code to the door, please have them ring the doorbell so we will know who is in the center.
Teacher Movement
At 2 Grandmas our goal is to place teachers in a room where their strengths can be put to the best use.
Teacher Coverage
Per state regulations teachers cannot be in the classroom no more than 10 1/2 hours per day. Therefore to assure that we have the correct staff to child ratio, your child cannot be in the center more than 10 1/2 hours per day unless approved by the Administrator.
You must call the center if you will be picking up later than your enrollment contract agreement. Without a call to the center you will be charged a $50.00 late pick up fee due with your next tuition payment.
Nap-time Bedding
2-5 years old need a (crib) sheet and blanket or a sleeping bag for nap time. All nap time bedding should be taken home every Friday to be washed and returned on Monday.
Remember to check the website weekly for updates. It is very hectic at drop off and pick up times... so to make sure we address all concerns please put it in writing and place in the mail bin outside of the administrator's office. You should receive a response within 2 days.
